The events in South Korea show that a government that is for the people will defend them from tyranny. The idea that the coup attempt was squashed by a vote made by dedicated elected officials, supported by the people they represent is inspiring. There is hope people. Don't give up.

Like other parts of the world, Canada will soon have a federal election in 2025 where climate change denying, social service defunding, free speech hating, conservative government will likely take over. We need voting/election reform before this happens!

The biggest problem today is an inability for people to change their minds when presented with new information.
People don't want to admit to others and themselves that they are wrong. So they slip further and further into their echo chambers.
It's the Monty Hall problem, with lives on the line.

Why we need #rankedchoicevoting in Canada. BC provincial Election was so close, some ridings were won by a few dozen votes. 27 seats went to the conservatives because the vote was split between NDP and Green in those ridings. Election reform, make peoples votes count!

Canadians need to insist that the federal Liberal government and Justin Trudeau implement voting reform in the form of ranked choice ballots.
It will make other parties viable and eliminate this horrible back and forth that we've been stuck in for ages.
The two party system does not work.
