I’ve not visited Knitted Wit’s shop in Gresham, but I love knitting with her yarn. Sad news.

Saw Duran Duran two years ago and can concur: Simon has still got it. (As do John, Nick and Roger. 😉)

Sabrina Carpenter brought out Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon and John Taylor for “Hungry Like The Wolf” at BST Hyde Park tonight

This is one of the best kitchen tools I have purchased in years. Super versatile!

we got this silicone popcorn bowl that lets you pop bulk corn in the microwave and it’s destroying my life. my wife bought me this movie theater popcorn salt and I think I’m addicted. I’m eating a big bowl of popcorn at 11pm every night like some sort of cinema baron. thank god it’s not bad for you

When the tech still works - mostly - after 20 years, you know someone did something right.

This is why I’ve pretty much stopped watching the late night shows…
Shit - what if none of this is funny?

I didn’t love this pattern, but I loved the yarn - Germantown by Kelbourne Woolens - and I love how it turned out! 🧶

I don’t particularly like that He Gets Us campaign, but I always love hearing Billy Preston play boogie-woogie piano on that Personal Jesus cover.

The teenager is driving to the dog park, and even the beagle is nervous about it.

All that’s left is the shawl collar and button band, then stitch up the pockets, add buttons and weave in the ends.

Written like that and it seems I still have a ton to do! 🧶 #knitsky #knitting #woolworthy #knit

Read Parable of the Sower a couple years ago and the echos of today in this 20-year-old masterpiece are deeply depressing. Another shockingly resonate read these days? 11/22/63 by Stephen King.
I’ve tried to read Parable of the Sower every year for the past five years

And every time, I start it, feel a panicky feeling of recognition, and have to stop

Maybe this will finally be the year I work up the courage

Sunbreak at the Oregon Coast. It was supposed to be pouring today. I’m glad it’s not.

It is Dec. 1 - thus begins the return of the best Christmas song to heavy, heavy rotation.

I am firmly in the “No Christmas music before Thanksgiving” camp, with one exception: “Christmas Wrapping” by the Waitresses.

Went to see a local production of “Cabaret.” It was very well done, but I came away super depressed that we’re still dealing with all the Nazi b.s.

Since the election I have disengaged from news. I turned off news alerts on my phone, unsubscribed to newsletters and listened to audiobooks and music rather than podcasts. I will engage with the dumpster fire when I’m ready. Until then, I’m saving my sanity.
