been a stressful couple of weeks, trying to get back to it, could tell i was a bit out of practice, but a friend got me some color ink sticks so i wanted to try it out, mostly just scribbles to see how they worked but theres some elements in there i dont hate

dont play many games but felt urge to go back and see when i tried playing crystal, played more than i thought i did, me + my three almost favorites, forretress and cloyster take a while to actually evolve to, maybe ill do that or something

grey fox - was about to pack up painting supplies when this guy showed up, had to move quick and had to paint standing to get him, he left right as i was finishing, might try and paint him again now that i have the reference but wanted to try to get something in the moment while looking at him

tiger lily practice, not my best but mostly just impressed i managed to do black on black spots, that felt good to pull off, black but not black and pulling out tones and all that, feels good when i can do layered shades like that to add details to things

friend gave me a challenge for a fern, came out kinda shitty but good practice, brush control and im getting better at avoiding being too literal and separating things out too much, looking at the greater whole and all

tried a few different things today, painted outside for once, thought it might help me get a better feel for my subjects, also tried getting some human shapes off my body as a reference, pretty crude but some of it isnt terrible, something to work on

tree branch, tried to simplify from last time and just do the main branch, and tried adding a moon in the background to give it more depth but that got a little fucked up, also got a new journal to practice with with better quality paper than the printer paper id been using
