Hard to believe but in this Ruby red state of Floriduh, I have spoken with staffers every time. Obviously they don’t give a rats hindend , but I call every day.

Republicans can deny this all they want now, but Step 2 of the budget process - the reconciliation bill - will force them to show every detailed line item cut they want. They won’t be able to hide their real plans then. And you, their constituents, will be watching. (/end)

And secondly, know that the facts are on YOUR side. The budget resolution is Step 1 of a longer budget process. The resolution sets a framework with top line dollar amounts; committees then have to find cuts to meet those top line amounts. The budget that the House passed... (3/x)

They're lying to you, hiding behind a complicated budget process to avoid the hard and ugly truth of their intentions. Firstly, if a staffer gives you trouble on the phone (which is very much NOT their job), request a written response from the legislative aide assigned to this policy area... (2/x)
