They're certainly quite effective, aren't they? An important component of duels is managing the distance between yourself and the opponent, and having a ranged option is quite the tool for that purpose

The pistol mechanism is not allowed to be used in typical duels unless specified otherwise, unfortunately. It sees the most use during those few times some roving band of marauders or whatnot decide it's a good idea to attack a grade 2 fixer whom is also the wife of a color fixer.

She even has herself a very interesting custom-made weapon, which she went out of her to get approved for use by the higher-ups in the Cinq Assocation, which she calls a "Reiterpallasch" - a rapier with a pistol mechanism built in.

She'll often go great lengths to avoid dueling anyways, which I don't understand too much. She's grade 2 and quite skilled with the typical rapier, and she excels quite a bit in her marksmanship with dueling pistols.

*Claire readies herself into a defensive stance, carefully watching Bird's movement.*

Now then, you may make the first move.

The rules of this sparring session are simple, a best of three, and the first to make contact with the opponent wins the round. Of course, since this is a simple training session, I won't be going all-out on you.

I assure you that your concerns regarding my own safety are unfounded. I am a color fixer after all. Normally, we'd cover the essentials before jumping into a sparring match, but I suppose it would be helpful in order to gauge your current skills.

That is...quite an unconventional blade, I must say. Certainly quite fancy, as well
April 10, 2025 at 6:36 PM
...Is...is that allowed?
April 6, 2025 at 2:34 PM
Of course, for us more experienced duelists, having a keen eye for the blade's positioning and movements eventually becomes second nature.

Ah, of course. Break a leg, then. Your enemy's leg, preferabley
April 5, 2025 at 3:02 PM
Have fun with that. What's that expression again..."break an arm"?
