Seconds are often expected to take the place of their duelist if said duelist "chickens out" or otherwise fails to make it at the scheduled time. Flora doesn't ever have to worry about that, as I'm always quite punctual.

One aspect of rapier duels that is not very well known to those who watch from the sidelines is the perspective of the blade. As rapier's are quite thing, a well positioned rapier can appear nearly invisible and become very difficult for your opponent to track.

I believe the fighting "strategy" I dislike the most is simply relying on one's ability to overpower their opponent. True prowess is the ability to overcome an opponent whose raw strength may surpass your own.

I've mentioned before that I allow my lesser opponents to have 3 attempts to strike me before I begin my play, for the sake of fairness. However, I will admit there is a more selfish aspect to this. I use it as an opportunity to observe their technique, and decide if I wish to see more.

One of my hobbies I spend a decent amount of my free time on are various video games. Fromsoft's catalogue is among my favorites. Though, I always find it somewhat irritating how it's a tad more difficult to precisely gauge distance, as you technically don't have depth perception on a monitor.

I once got a request for a Level 4 duel. For reference, Level 3 signifies a duel to the death. There is no Level 4. Though it's funny to imagine what a Level 4 duel would even imply if it's to be more extreme than a duel to the death.

You may have noticed I don't wear Cinq West's iconic hat. There are two reasons for this.
One: With my immense speed, it simply falls off far too easily.
Two: I don't like it.

Occasionally, clients may request duels be done via dueling pistols. It's quite rare, but I keep two on me at all times just in case.
Guns are, of course, rather expensive. And so the issued dueling pistols are rather rudimentary, single-shot weapons resembling flintlocks.

The Cinq Association as a whole is rather decentralized, and thus the title of "Director" doesn't quite mean much aside from signifying one's prowess. It also means I have to handle significantly more paperwork, unfortunately

Helping train the rookies is one of my favorite parts of the job. They're techniques are always sloppy to start out, of course, but it's always a pleasure slowly watching them refine their moves further and further with each sparring match.

As you all may know, our eastern branch often resorts to far more underhanded tactics in order to gain the upperhand in duels. I detest this fact, as our committment to just and noble duels is what makes Cinq what it is. Otherwise, what differentiates us from a lowly murder-for-hire office?
