On balance I think I’d rather her name was forgotten except by those of us who know enough to understand it’s a warning from history. In future, her name should only be spoken in the same manner we’d talk about someone like John Money.

I read an article on the BBC a couple of days ago where they quoted a study claiming adolescence lasts until 32! I’m not sure many 30 year olds would appreciate being called children!

Genuine question - What’s the solution? We don’t have the media access the GCs have used to relentlessly monster us and I know from another thread you don’t think trying to get high-profile politicians to speak up for us is a good idea unless part of a wider plan. Do we need something akin to PFC?

I have no doubt Zack supports us and he does speak up for us when pushed by the media. But wouldn’t it be fantastic if he dedicated one of his regular videos to trans people and spoke about the harms inflicted on us this year and what that means in practice. Or @sophiemolly.co.uk could interview him

I have no words to describe how angry the WellBN situation makes me - the callous way in which the ICB seems to be behaving is simply disgraceful. There should be a public scandal, but it’s trans kids so nobody seems to care. Sending my love to everyone impacted by this. 🩷

Another vote for this - a lot of us are members because the party supports us, but we need to see leadership on issues like the WellBN families and the EHRC Code of Practice.

I’m very disappointed Zack appears not to have engaged with the WellBN families - I still hope there’s something happening in the background. I’m a member, but my membership is contingent on the Greens arguing for us and I won’t stay if they don’t. I think the jury is out at the moment.

I absolutely agree - actually, I’d have set the threshold lower and the rate higher! The fact people with extreme wealth see housing as an investment is morally contemptible. All they have done is push the prices ever higher for the average family.

House prices are ridiculous though - in this area the absolute cheapest semi-detached is £350k and anything decent is well over £500k. There are loads of properties for sale over £1M.
Sadly, my flat isn’t worth anywhere near that so I‘ll have to move areas if I want a house when I retire.

That’s fantastic! I was less lucky - I stopped losing hair, but it never grew back. I now have a hairpiece that covers the offending area and looks completely natural.

I’m not sure how reliable a survey is that shows 20% of trans people are either neutral, negative or just don’t know how they feel about trans people!

Only a small thing, but I’ve been trying to get a plumber to do some work for weeks. I’ve now got one coming next week to replace my hot water tank and fit a nice new shower 😀
