Prior to ACA, I had a lapse in insurance while in between jobs. So when my insurance started back up, they wouldn’t cover any T1D care because it was a “preexisting condition.” Thank god ACA was implemented 6 months later & I had enough insulin & supplies to make it.

They can all burn in hell.

It took multiple appeals & almost half a year for my insurance to cover a new insulin pump for me. I’m a type 1 diabetic. An insulin pump is a lifesaving device for me. I had to use an old out-of-warranty pump during that 6 months, hoping it didn’t fail, as I waited for approval.

Must be something wrong with my computer.
