So quick update- cats are stoic beasts and things go from “I’m fine” to “oh hey, I can’t eat” with minimal warning.
Nutsy clearly has a serious dental something going. He’s dropped half a pound since his August vet check. Thankfully my rusty adult medical foster skills kicked in. 1/

No more spontaneous decisions to wake up at 5am and go chase sunrise. Or sunset. Or photo ops in general. It’s been a brutal loss.
So being able to make a spontaneous decision last night and go chasing the aurora, in the dark?
Huge.

They are improving. Full stop. But trying to keep an eye on what’s causing the issue, while reducing secondary weight loss in this situation blows. 1/
