Thank you! I didn't know about their eyes, but know something of their feathers. The immature ones must be rather fluffy also, probably for warmth, as I've seen a family of four where the young ones appeared larger than their parents.

Interesting about the dark eye. Is that true of balds as well? One flew so near me, I met its golden eyes.
