I appreciate the creativity behind growing your very own vehicle, but good lord why can't Steve put some sticks and cloth and a lantern together?! Maybe the pivot to being designed as a children's game is why this is happening? Am I just an old bat at this point?

Want a hot air balloon? Go to the nether, find a dried ghast, bring it to the overworld, saturate it with water for 20 minutes, feed it snowballs then make a very specific saddle for it.

Want some solid light emitting blocks? Feed frogs rare mobs from the nether and they poop out lamps.

Every new idea they add needs to have some fantastical path to travel, I'm not saying this is bad exactly, just that at times it feels very... Disjointed.

Minecraft is a game with famously odd game design choices at this point, leaning into emergent gameplay just feels so distracting from the experience. Somehow minecraft went from "This is THE survival voxel game" to "This is a survival voxel game with some strange stuff on top"

I've never made a mob farm, used doors to swim, made an ice boat highway, launched fireworks with elytra, done a water bucket clutch, made a storage system or killed the ender dragon with beds. But the game design of the last couple years has done nothing but push me towards that being the norm.

Didn’t know there were comparable things. I’m mostly interested in paletizing and low color depth stuff. Always wondered if an old copy of paint shop pro or something would still work with modern hardware

I find that the best place to start hard pieces is when a cadence finishes because things tend to slow down, you can work backwards from there. I still can't really play much hands together. On piano I'm currently working on Ahead On Our Way (FFVII), which should be my first intermediate piece!

I remember getting excited for it (and wall jump) in Jedi Academy as a movement tech upgrade to Jedi Outcast and it's just never used, not in the single player campaign and not ever in FFA, duel or CTF. I think because it kind of glued you to the wall and kept you from dodging without much benefit
