I've been thinking a lot about intent vs design in Minecraft recently, where emergent (and degenerate) systems optimize the gameplay. Specifically I've been thinking about how the developers lean into it.

I sang for 2 hours. That was the most marathon-type thing I've ever done. And a lot of moving around too. Not dancing just making sure not to fall down stairs.

I mostly just play hymns and anthems and carols though. Being in a choir gives me a lot of free repertoire without having to spend my evenings scouring google and IMSLP

Someone left behind Buxetehude books at the organ and I figured I'd at least try some passages slowly and it wasn't that hard once I concentrated. The binary nature of the sound means I can hold the notes indefinitely until I find the next keys to press. Most of my playing is by touch now too.

Just got mad at my windows 10 installation because it found some random Bluetooth device and said something to the effect of "quickly connect devices in the future--like the one we just found."
