Hot Take: a mail/package carrier that can't easily carry a 30lb (13.5kg) package up a single flight of stairs should probably either retire or find a different vocation.

Yes, I fully understand it can be physically demanding work. I used to work in a UPS sorting facility. Key words - 'used to'.

One of many new additions to the shop. Finally finished adding all my Middle Earth CCG bulk the other day, so now it's time to add the rarities.

I do love these classic 90's CCGs, but damn am I glad the industry's figured out better ways to identify different sets than making me squint at tiny white text on yellow backgrounds to read the copyright info.

Oh, also, some cards have incorrect copyright data! FFS!

Just added this beauty to the store, if you've ever wanted yourself an Imperial Seal.

Promotional card for Sangokushi Taisen (a Romance of the Three Kingdoms CCG).

No useful sales data available, so it's priced ambitiously, but *reasonable* offers are considered.

Called out a paid shill / AI bot, and their "evidence" for not being such was... *drumroll* a link to a trailer to the show they've been shilling.

I may be addicted to Europa Universalis V.

But damn, trying to play as Cahokia is frustrating as f*ck!

Every time I see some exec hyping up "AI" QA testing, I can't help but wonder if they just discovered the concept of automated testing.

Some tester wrote a quick script to have the character run in circles until it either falls through the world or the game crashes, and the exec's brain melted.

Another batch closer to finishing the Middle Earth CCG listings. Then, on to... Young Jedi, My Little Pony, Hyborean Gates, Tempest of the Gods, Kult, etc etc etc

It never ends! (Well, it would if I'd finally stop buying every singly cool collection I find.)

Sometimes I get so focused on my current fixations that I forget about some of the super cool stuff I already have tucked away.

Menko (Japanese inspiration for POGs) from the 1960's showing some of the most popular shows at the time - Q-Taro, Ultra Q, Golden Bat, Batman, Perman, King Kong, etc

Flagged down a neighborhood maintenance worker to point out torrents of water gushing out from under a supply closet door. He said "oh yeah, heard that rushing noise a while ago but didn't think to check".

Now they're clearing out 3 apartments for massive flood damage.

Production artwork from Lord of the Rings (1979, Ralph Bakshi)

IMO, perhaps one of the most iconic scenes in fantasy ever - Gandalf's charge into battle at Helm's Deep

Could not be happier to have this beauty in my collection!

The Mighty Nein (animated) made me tear up in the 1st episode!? Oh boy, this is gonna be a wild ride.

Must be no accident that The Mighty Nein show drops right after the final episodes of Dispatch wrap up. Well played, Critical Role. Well played. #criticalrole

Win some; lose some.

Massive CCG collection I just bought (from a shop I trust) looks almost completely picked clean. After sifting through 10k+ cards, there are basically 1/10th of the Rares (and higher) than opening random packs would yield, and nothing over $2-3.

I am such a sucker for vintage Lord of the Rings stuff, especially from the late 70's with Rankin & Bass' 'The Hobbit', Ralph Bakshi's "Lord of the Rings', and so much sick fantasy art, like this 1979 poster by Judy King Rieniets.

For context, here's what % of a mortgage loan would be actual equity after X # of years. (Using 6% interest)

30yr mortgage:
1yr - 1.2%, 5yr - 6.9%, 10yr - 16.3%, 20yr - 46%, 30yr - 100%

50yr mortgage:
1yr - 0.3%, 5yr - 1.8%, 10yr - 4.3%, 20yr - 12.2%, 30yr - 26.5%

Add "-ai" (w/o the quotes obv) to the end of any Google search to remove AI from the results*.

*At minimum, the dumb Summary. I've only done a tiny bit of testing, so your mileage may vary.

Always loved this image, but never knew exactly where it was from. Now I know! Thanks, Angus McBride, for the gorgeous artwork!

How can it possibly be The One Ring if there are so gods damned many of them!? I'm calling false advertising!
November 7, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Good lord, I'm bad at self-promotion!

Just spent the past 10 days or so sorting cards, roughly 42-45,000 or so, based on how many boxes they've filled. Then comes the pics and listing!

In the meantime, I have managed to get some Doctor Who cards listed!

Reminder: Before heaping too much praise on some corporation for doing something "nice"/charitable this holiday season, think about how much it'd *actually* cost them to do. (Hint: it's FAR less than one'd initially think.)

Also, reduced potential revenue does not equal actual costs.

Come home *literally* as the USPS truck pulls up. Perfect timing!

But the driver almost makes me accept a 'sorry we missed you' card anyway because he couldn't carry the heavy box upstairs to my door.

You ever run into a CCG game/set where Uncommons are more common than Commons?

I just did.

Things that make you go "huh".
