Give it a chance, parents. Students trying new foods and eating the same thing together are positive benefits of this initiative. In Japan, students take turns serving school food and cleaning up afterwards.

Yes, the trend is alarming. However, the difference in lifestyle between gaming all night and working long hours in construction all day surrounded by older hard-working guys might be enough for a lot of these guys to question their priorities. One success and paycheque often leads to another.

A job can't hurt. It gets them outside of their heads and their toxic echo chambers on a daily basis. If they're earning, they might even see fit to leave their parents' basements after a while.

This may just help social cohesion in Canada by employing young men who were previously out of options. If they aren't studying or working, young men can become resentful and lash out in anti-social ways.

I hated the idea when it was proposed but it's so well designed to be unobtrusive. And people with mobility issues can enjoy the view.

They must grow 'em tall in Nebraska. My ancestors from there were 6' which was unusual in the early 1900s. I've got nobody left there. They all ended up in Moose Jaw for some reason.
