And it's always great to be able to include the species of interest as well. I would have thought professional rates for graphic recording would be worth asking e.g. drawingchange.com
January 10, 2025 at 11:12 AM
I've done non-professional live sketching at talks for my own memory and as gifrs for speakers, with my handwriting therefor limiting understanding but have enormous respect for the #GraphicRecording ers who can get the red thread through an entire session. Also boosting question to #SciArt thread.

Back in September, I was one of 36 new fellows @aiasdk.bsky.social, I drew the other 35's 3min speed talks, and the resulting sketches have just gone in virtual display at the website: aias.au.dk/events/3-min.... Since, I have tried to sketch the Fellows presentations when I've been in the room 🐡

🧪 because I didn't know how to get this on the #science feed - a paper about what happens to lead pellets in platypuses in museum collections, how this can confuse vets, and some potential implications....
journals.plos.org/plosone/arti... led by Henrik Lauridsen with funding from Carlsberg.

What is up with this #platypus specimen? A new paper from Henrik Lauridsen and colleagues explores the radio dense nodules and found that they were not #VeterinaryPathology, but corrosion products from metal shot. For #opendata #MRI #microCT see journals.plos.org/plosone/arti....
