Golden Mussel detections in CA. They've made their way from Delta to the pumps & are moving south along CA aqueduct & other water distribution canals that move water from Bay Delta to the Central Valley & southern CA. Now in Pyramid Lake & Silverwood Lake.

Red dots showing locations within CA where golden mussels have been positively identified. They encompass the freshwater delta at the confluence of the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. The San Joaquin River near Stockton and leading down to Clifton Court Forebay and the pumps for the state and federal water operations and moving upstream along the CA aqueduct to various pumping plants all the way down to Pyramid Lake in southern CA.
