That always felt really odd to me, but I guess it partly explains the aversion to any s2 criticism. Both when the renewal campaign was ongoing and after cancellation. Can't say anything bad about the show or there might not be another season 🙃

Sorry to just jump in here, but as an accent enjoyer™ I'm pretty sure several of the cast members are putting on or intensifying their accents for the characters, Con included. ofmd isn't really consistent in their "period accuracy" so why would some deliberate accent choices be such a stretch?
