They were all nominated for the Ed Miller Corpsmember of the Year, an award we give in honor of a former staff member who exemplifies what it means to serve communities.

“I love Civic Works,” he shared, “and I love what it stands for. It’s changed the trajectory of my life. I’m blessed to have found this program.”

When asked what this award means to him, Sean said “I wasn’t expecting it, but I’m glad the commitment I made is being recognized. You do things because that’s your character, but when somebody acknowledges it? It’s a good feeling.”

Congratulations to Sean Stanley of our Elder Services & Career Pathways team for winning this year’s Corpsmember of the Year! A big shout out as well to all our amazing finalists, including Emily Ackerman of our Real Food Farm team and Tyontae Keene of our YouthBuild & Elder Services team.
