TSP is one difference. But the discarded coffee cup on the floor; trash and grime everywhere. An apparent lack of care for the system and streetscape in general. In some ways, we sorta get what we deserve. Remembered Byford would pick up litter on the subway, showing he cared. Wished we cared more.

The only place we might need "automonous driving tech" is where trains and other traffic interface like at road crossings or trams in mixed traffic and probably it is only there to detect an incursion on the tracks and react, otherwise it's so unnecessary.

Automatic Train Operations (ATO) already exists. Trains with the right signalling system already don't need drivers. And we already have electric trains, via overhead catenary. I don't understand why California startups are always trying to reinvent the wheel in the dumbest way possible.
