Sounds like a good project for the town. But what's really needed for the overall area are safe routes between the towns. I used to cycle along all these roads regularly many years ago. I'd love to still do so, but I don't because of all the drivers in their cars looking at their phones & speeding

I completely agree. Based on multiple projects I've seen across the city, this problem is institutional.

Maybe the construction team did look at it.... and they concluded, ah yea, sure whatever. If there're any issues, well sure, we'll be in the clear because no-one ever follows up on this sh1t. It'll be grand. Right, that's that sorted, let's get lunch.

And that black VW on the footpath is there everyday. The owner knows full-well what he's doing is illegal. I've spoken to him about it. But there are zero consequences so he doesn't care.

Also, no-one I know picks up a fridge in their car. Unless it's a mini-fridge, and I could easily carry one of them in my bike.

A couple of dandelions in flower here (Dublin). No daisys, ragwort or vetch flowers that I've seen.

Yes, I also do this. When I was younger this wasn't a thing at all. It 100% is now. The streets in Dublin are far worse than they used to be.
Numbers of deaths are a woeful metric to guage road safety with. There are less deaths now Bcoz people no longer cycle.

The noise is also awful. I live 6.5km from the airport in a straight line, not on a flight-line & I've definitely noticed the increased number of flights.
It must be horrible for those near the airport or under a flight-line.

Too dangerous for a warden, and so the solution by the council is...... don't do anything to tackle the cause of the danger, ie driver behavior.
