People say instead of remastering great games, remaster mediocre games that fell short of their potential. I think Saw on X360 is a good candidate. Looks great but runs poorly. Interesting story but clunky combat & repetitive puzzles. Still a good time tho #justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

The rave reviews had me thinking Blue Prince was going to blow my mind. But it wasn’t as overt as that. Instead it kinda slowly creeps into your brain each time you discover something. I #justbeatit on Day 29 but I’m far from done. Still so many things left unanswered. @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

Calling this a beat. I escaped the Dreampools & Eternal Suburbia in Dreamcore. A collection of eerie and truly labyrinthian backrooms style liminal spaces. No monsters or puzzles, just the experience of seeing how deep the rabbit hole goes. A vibe game.

Calling this a beat. I escaped the Dreampools & Eternal Suburbia in Dreamcore. A collection of eerie and truly labyrinthian backrooms style liminal spaces. No monsters or puzzles, just the experience of seeing how deep the rabbit hole goes. A vibe game.

Just beat Split Fiction w/ @peteepuff.bsky.social and really loved it. Similar to It Takes Two in that each level provides unique tools & challenges but with the creativity cranked to 11. Lots of fun “whoa” moments! 10/10

Just beat No One Lives Under the Lighthouse, a short indie spooker with PS1 graphics in which something definitely lives under the lighthouse. Not terribly scary but worth the $5 I paid.

Although you could customize your character in Mass Effect, the default Shepard was the face of the series. Do you think Andromeda & Veilguard could have benefited from a similar "mascot" rather than a masked nobody? Do you think Bioware should go back to having a default character for future games?

Playing Moral Dilemma: The Interview, which is a free game similar in style to The Stanley Parable. During a set of 5 or 6 moral dilemmas, this is the only one that actually made me pause.

At first glance I thought Tactical Breach Wizards was a silly “XCOM with wizards” gimmick game but it actually rules! It’s got a great story w/ a wonderful sense of humor & a fair amount of heart. Loved the characters & tactical combat is very engaging!
