first sighting of a black squirrel in three years. my dreams of them mating with the red to make me purple squirrels like india has, has been renewed. fairly certain that's not how squirrels, or colors work, but a man can dream.

so got a equigroomer, and it's a hacksaw blade. i seriously just paid $30 for a $1 hacksaw blade. works great, and the cats love it, but hit up your hardware store before the pet store.

epigroomer came in today, and yeah, it's a hacksaw blade. fool me paid $30 for a $1 hardware store buy. don't make my mistake. tooth for tooth, groove by groove, same damn tool. it is effective, and the cats love it, just head to the hardware store instead of the pet store.

baking with kittens.... luckily the buttercreme held during clean up, and trip to the grocery to replace the eggs. the cookies turned up pretty nice.

got a misdirected shipment of chicken feet the other day. made for a long day, but 27 hrs later got a badass tomato cream and chicken pasta sauce out of it. be better with sausage, but you work with what you got.

right hip, ass, and back are pretty the same. not sure where the chest bruises came from, but i got really lucky landing how i did.

as is inevitable, i took my sitcom pratfall off the roof. old trash bins broke my fall. luckily, i wasn't pierced by any of the branches cut. still had to climb back to get my tools. was a good opportunity to enjoy the sky a bit.

tiny black kitten snuck in over a month ago, and apparently lives here now. problem being she's terrified of me. luckily, the adolescent cats have been very friendly and will escort her out, but she always comes back in somehow.

starting getting up 10 mins earlier to wade through the kittens flopping at my feet. now the raccoons have starting doing it. and yeah, still rocking bar laces.

an off cook day, so we're smoking some chipotle power. 3.5 lbs of jalapeños smoked over 12-16 hrs, or until grindible. pic's at 4 hrs in and chilis have been about half reduced in size.

the friendliest of the new kittens. hoping he isn't also deaf. lots of pets, purrs, and he came inside twice today. doesn't have the trust yet to let me pick the burrs out of his tail.

used silicone tongs to stick the screen back in its gasket. put in the grate to hopefully keep the kittens from messing it up again. as a bonus, if they ever get on the nip, they'll have something to zone out to.
