Yesterday a single beam of sunlight illuminated this lily in my goldfish pond. This plant lived in my aquarium for years as a sad root ball. Once put in my pond, it exploded and has made 5+ blooms in its first year.

No mud, no lotus- as they say I guess.

A frog's head peeks out of dark pond waters in the morning light. He has lovely brown eyes. Another frog's head sticks out of dark pond waters. This one has an especially speckled throat. A strange creature peeks out from under a lily pad: an almost-but-not-quite metamorphosed tadpole, who has four legs with big sticky toes and a froggish body, but still the mouth and tail of a tadpole. This actually looks like a native grey treefrog tadpole!

I have some made up shapeshifty flying desert horses that live in my head and they are technically gaited.
They run like greyhounds in a double suspension gallop - and I imagine it as their most ground covering gait, required for takeoff.
