I’ve become a Smudge/Living the Line addict. If they keep reprinting these bizarre 1970s horror books I’ll be a fan forever. I don’t buy a lot of physical books anymore because my shelves are full, but I’m making space for all the Smudge books. SO WEIRD! Beautiful.

Read this last night. It’s a well done book. I can see why people like it so much, but for me it was just another example of murder/violence being used interchangeably with horror. I didn’t have any feelings of dread/terror/fear while reading this and so I can’t recommend it for horror fans.
