What is it with drummers with great voices? Bing Crosby, Karen Carpenter, Teddy Pendergrass.

Their music wasn’t always my thing, but Karen’s voice was amazing. I would sell my soul to be able to sing like that.

This is real—thirty/fortysomething people who have the baggage of being grown, like kids and marriages and mortgages, but still see their parents as people responsible for their care and happiness. At fam events you see them sitting down waiting while everyone else is working on stuff.

A religious consumer who wanted medievalism but got a religion telling him to love his neighbor and do good to those who hate him. Real medievalism would involve a submission to faith authorities. But he just wants to speak to the manager—and maybe get him fired.
