Another thing I’m noticing is that the bows are getting bigger again, and the pinks are finally becoming pinker. I’m so tired of the washed out millennial pink shades that have been trending for the past few years in Japan. Bring back color!!

These bags though are the opposite, they’re definitely way more ryousangata than himekaji, but I still think they could work for both! It’s kind of a win for both gals & jirai because we can both use these pieces! Though I wonder if that will eventually change

Like this piece to me reads more hime gyaru than ryousangata for sure, but it still could work for both depending on the makeup & styling. That’s what I mean when I talk about this “grey area” phase we’re currently in.

So let’s talk a bit about some of the recent designs from Japanese fashion brands! I feel like we’re in a weird transitional phase right now between Jirai/Ryousangata and Hime/Himekaji. A lot of recent designs from brands like Ank Rouge fall in a weird grey area imo??
