What interests me are the by-products of the AI race and the interesting and useful technologies that will appear. I could care less about who builds the largest computer or is the best in some stupid reductionist benchmark.

No single country won the space race if we considered what it was in fact about building ballistic missiles.There were many interesting and useful by-products, and that is what it is important.
