My brother instituted a family practice of using the word "luscious" instead. You have to do it in a creepy voice. Nothing's more appealing than being offered a "morsel of luscious chicken" in a Peter Lorre voice.

I had a pretty nice time belonging to the Y as a kid/teen/young adult. It's affordable and the clientele tend to be friendly and not gym-rat aggro. Looks like your local one lets you book a personal training session to get started.

I have the same hair type & it grows out nicely with the help of “It’s a 10” leave-in conditioner and a boar bristle brush; Wet brand makes one that’s got boar + normal bristles so it actually detangles instead of just grazing the surface. I also took biotin: horbaach.com/products/hai....

It’s a funny disconnect, living in a pretty-good city like Oakland but going online to read how Snake Plissken wouldn’t last a day in this terrifying Thunderdome of a town. Sure, sure, guys. Keep quaking in your boots; I’ll be at the farmers’ market by the lake, watching people do acroyoga.
I listened to KROQ as a teen in the '90s and occasionally tune in when I'm back in L.A. They are playing the same playlist! Did they freeze time in 2000, or reverted to it at some point and became a classic rock station for millennials? Either way, the ossifying effect of nostalgia comes for us all.
