I like having both, the formal minutes which captures the decisions so that they are neat and tidy and readily accessible. However, I also think that having recorded meetings tells the full story and allows constituents to hear what is actually said. #MGMT0180

Thanks for sharing! Definitely needs more thought and more internal controls in place! I do believe that this will be the way of the future, they just have to figure out a way to do this safely while mitigating risks of identity fraud.

Transparency! Minutes don’t capture the discussion or tell the whole story. I think it should be mandatory as it supports better transparency and accountability of council. Thanks for posting!

I really support the idea of recordings as working families are busy and cannot always attend meetings. In addition, minutes don’t capture verbatim what has been discussed and truly doesn’t represent the “whole story.” I think that video also supports true accuracy and accountability of council. :)

Digital age where everything is at our fingertips. I wonder how long it will be before voting can be done electronically? Would solve time and some accessibility issues but on the other side of the same coin, could create many other issues.

I agree! More info and education needs to be provided to our youth. Some previous coworkers in their mid-to late 20s have never voted. They said they didn’t know how, where to begin and didn’t have the time. Maybe we need to explore other voting option methods to support higher turnout. #mgmt0180
