First thing that needs to happen is repealing the law that allows the government to “borrow” from the fund and immediately pay back the loans and interest. That would secure the fund. Originally the fund was limited to being used for payments of SS and SSD. That changed under Reagan.

You're probably right - until it affects their livelihood. Large farms, like dairy that work 24/7 or agriculture, that depend on immigrant workforce. Farmers worried abt tariffs, Walmart has announced that prices will not be dropping in 2025. And what are they all saying,'I hope he doesn't do that.'

I'm past being worried, I'm up to terrified - maybe I'm exaggerating. Kind of like being stuck in a history book except it's current & the outcome has not yet been written. From what I'm seeing, there will be no leadership & it angers me - but I've been angry since 6/28/24.
