Just _regular_ editing would do the trick. Good Lord that man never met a red pen.

How bad is it if I admit I'm more interested in meeting the fake dire wolves than I am in meeting George RR Martin?

I mean, there are worse things to fangirl about.

I never thought of this as a TYPEface because I actually did engraving with it in my early 20's as part of a job making museum plaques. Also because it's the first handwriting I learned in school I don't think it's weird. I do think this author is really young, though!

There's this in my town too, and they both park in the same driveway. Pretty sure it's NOT that both spouses wanted cybertrucks.

I was wondering whether they were actually reading these and disallowing funding for activities in "Broader Impacts" sections. Looks like it. OMG the postdocs denied b/c the summary says they will receive implicit bias training!

If you outlaw the teaching of evolution only outlaws will teach evolution.🦹

Well, no. The actual order reads "at conception," at which point one has a Y chromosome or not, and no anatomy to speak of, and that Y chromosome doesn't guarantee anatomy... So I guess we're all just humans. Which is great.

Because THIS. I have soooo many colleagues working on NIH proposals right now.

Devastating for scientists and their research, and everyone who benefits from that research.

I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.
NIH appears to have canceled/postponed all of its study sections—the independent review panels that approve federal grants for health research.

Such grants fund the work/salaries of 300k people at more than 2,500 institutions

😬 Soooo Not Okay

All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
