Seanad is so broken. Politicians that fail to be elected as TDs get appointed as a consolation, and senators that failed to be reelected literally get back in without any kind of mandate. 🙄

"The car involved failed to remain at the scene" - the car drove off by itself did it? The language around incidents like this almost always absolves the person driving the car from responsibility. Do better @news.rte.ie

News is scrambling to find a narrative which is anything other than “he was radicalised by the normalised evil of profit driven health insurance ”
Said to someone recently that there had to be a point at which something like this happens. Not specifically this, but a violent revolt against an establishment that condones and benefits from the suffering of less well off. It's really not hard to see why people would side with the killer.

If Conor McGregor is found guilty of rape then he should be in jail. I’m not saying this in support of him, at all. I just don’t understand why it’s a civil trial for damages, or why, having been found guilty, he isn’t now being tried for the crime. He should pay damages and then be locked away.
