Been tumbling down the Mahjong rabbit-hole for a while now, but thanks to this slim volume I finally understand why most "here's how to play with Chinese rules" explainers default to "Just...fuckin'...I dunno, make sure that the group you sit down with agrees on what sort of scoring to use."
