How to set your domain as your handle - Bluesky
Using a domain as your handle helps with account identity, verification, and portability. Here's how to set your domain as your handle.
bsky.social
Recently noticed a large increase in the number of personal blogs powered by SubStack - admittedly, biased towards HackerNews where this observation arose, but after investigating the platform, I'm not sure I understand the appeal (apparently monetisation and subscription management)?

First time "vibe-coding" (VS Code, Github CoPilot using Sonnet 3.7 + Agent). Pretty impressed! Testing guard-rails are needed, as is constant revision, documentation. But the sheer amount of code and functionality created (tested and working) is significant 🤖🦾

Political tipping point for @bsky.app as heavy-weight (ex)politicians like @hillaryclinton.bsky.social join the community (as is their right) - Twitter became a political echo-chamber based on post/feed algorithms, not sure how Bluesky will manage/adapt to maintaining civility in #free-speach

Managing virtual environments for Python coding is gotten to the point where I'm lost every time - was it PyEnv? HomeBrew? Conda? which version... where... global? Did I alias Python3/pip3 to python/pip???

It puzzles me to see so many "top" SEO's that are completely happy/oblivious to have suboptimal handles on BlueSky - why are they so content to have @generic_name_here.bsky.social when they could (should?) have @their_custom.domain ??

Surprising (in a good way) discovery/bonus of replacing my House to Shed (100m) #Wi-Fi Link - the new TP-Link EAP211-Bridge (replacement for my Pharos units) also comes with their own Wi-Fi Radios - extending my Wi-Fi to a previously annoying black-spot. www.omadanetworks.com/au/business-...

Be A Property Owner And Not A Renter On The Internet
The year is 2025. The internet in the shape that we've known it in the early 2000s is no longer there. Or, not quite in the shape that we've seen it before. This is not just plain nostalgia talking - ...

Dust gathers on a few ideas I'd like to write about, but don't have any single "home" for them - some are SEO specific, so might be worth a LinkedIn post, some are tech related where I used to blog, and I feel the socials are just too ephemeral...

The amount of shenanigans this change to Apple Wi-Fi privacy for my DHCP reserved IPs has caused is somewhat annoying: support.apple.com/en-au/102509
