I've said before and I'll say it again!

Badasses, warriors and leaders are the nicest people!

John "Shrek" McPhee is so cool, we were hanging out and talking about what it is like to train in BJJ in your 50s

You'd never think he was once a Delta special forces operator.

A couple weeks ago, I did an early morning Sunday ride on PCH in Malibu.

First time since the January fires, it seemed like 75% of the homes on the beach were also destroyed.

A lot of cops enforcing the 25mph speed limit, 2nd gear from Santa Monica Pier to the Malibu Pier.

Going on holiday for 4 weeks of eating, drinking and traveling is good.

But getting back on the mat to get beaten up by my buddies is so much better!

Embarrassed to say that I learned about the Tulsa massacre from a TV show, even after 12 years of expensive private schooling.

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear,

But the triumph over it.

The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid,

But he who conquers that fear."

Most people think controlling emotions means suppressing them—but that’s not true control.

True control is about feeling emotions without letting them dictate your actions.

From '87 to '07, studying under GM Bong Soo Han in Hapkido, I saw this scroll at the end of the mat.

It's Japanese kanji, Do Shim, Way of the Heart

I took this pic after his death & the school was closing.

To this day, I believe it was the most important lesson that I learned there.
