At Ramsay Law Firm, we win many DWI cases by exposing the limitations of and flaws in the state's scientific tests. But we also win by holding law enforcement accountable when they violate the Constitution.

The state crime lab rounded up a urine alcohol test from 0.07 to 0.08—just enough to put a good man’s career and reputation on the line. This is why defense lawyers matter.

💸 What Good Is Minnesota’s Drug Recognition Program (DRE)? $15 Million Wasted. 💸

In 2023, the Minnesota Legislature earmarked $15M to train cops to be DRE. We’re seeing shoddy DRE reports.

We're trained in this and are independent DRE auditors. We’re watching. And right now?

You’re failing.

In a case involving breath test results of .089 & .091, we brought in forensic scientist Aaron Olson, who found a critical flaw which was enough to challenge the test's reliability and score a win for our client!

We're grateful to work with the best to get superior results!

Part II: Your eyes might get you arrested — even if you’re sober.

Let that sink in.

Because one of the most common field sobriety tests — the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) — is also one of the most misunderstood.

Officers use it all the time.

It is 88% accurate, IF properly administered.

A RARE & REMARKABLE OUTCOME

Our young pilot client was charged with a DWI—a serious issue that could impact his career & immigration status, as his job requires him to fly into and out of Canada.

In a genuinely extraordinary move, the prosecutor agreed to dismiss the case after 12 months.

🚨 **Major Win in MN DWI Breath Test Cases!** 🚨

Today, a Ramsey County judge granted our motion requiring the state to provide the software behind MN’s DMT breath test machine. In past cases, this has forced dismissals. We expect the same here.
