I really appreciate your pointing out that our emissions are causing the climate to depart from the unusually steady period that allowed human civilization to develop. This is the timescale that is important, and it is the right response to the argument that “The climate always changes.”

For the anti-tax, small govt. politicians claiming LA should have spent more to prepare for an unprecedented, climate change-driven megafire, I have a suggestion. Take a shower. Then have your family open every faucet in the house and flush all the toilets. Then let me know how your shower is going.
