Studies by Lilliana Mason & Nathan Kalmoe show polarization is driven by partisan elitesl. Do they believe the drivel they're putting out there or doing it solely for political gain?

Similar studies show that political elites can also reduce polarization & political violence. They need to want to.
Political outrage over Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show selection reveals a larger pattern: culture wars now begin in the political sector, manufactured by partisans and amplified by media before the actual event even occurs, according to the author of a book on propaganda. buff.ly/oNAs4QT
Bad Bunny is the latest product of political rage — how pop culture became the front line of American politics
Culture wars once arose from impromptu events that struck a nerve among Americans, but they are now started by partisan agitators who introduce them to politicians and watch them take hold.

This is real. A government agency calling Americans performing their democratic right of protest “imbecilic morons.” This Trump regime is a poison and never should have gotten power. A total disgrace.

WOW: The White House says the president's MAIN PRIORITY is his BALLROOM. SNAP is ending. Subsidies for health care are gong to double and in some instances quadruple plan premiums. The government is shut down. The cost of living is through the roof. And his priority is his ballroom.

Merkley: "What we've seen is that democracies no longer die bc men w/guns go in and take it over. Instead, it's electeds who erode the separation of power. If you have a rubber-stamp Congress & courts that deliver more power to the executive, suddenly you have an authoritarian state. It's here now."

Dear everyone in a position of power over others but especially teachers: “compliant with rules” is not always the same thing as “fair and equitable.”

I mean, if we're being honest, Indiana has, throughout its history, has made life for Black folks. Their just not trying as hard to hide it now, as they were prior to Obama's election.

It's really a return to the 20s, only instead of the Klan hoods, they're wearing red hats.

The first time the Confederate flag ever paraded through the US Capitol was on January 6, 2021.

The first time the White House was damaged in over 200 years since the US rebuilt in the 1820s after the British burned it in the war of 1812 was mid October, 2025.

Outlets that don’t report it, or dramatically downplay it are showing you precisely who they are.

A little Hispanic girl
Is hiding in an attic
And keeping a diary.

So my day today has been an eighth birthday party for my triplet niece & nephews, 30 minutes at the local No Kings event then a 3 hour drive to Cincinnati to see my son's second live show.

Busy, but productive.

I would suggest that it is a combination of all 3.

If white people on the left can’t accept that at the end of the day the issue is race, we won’t get through this. We’re on the cusp of the Supreme Court handing segregationists & white nationalists a huge win. And they know it. This is why we lose elections. More than anything, so imagine post-sec2.

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.
