Just have to drop these Day of the Dead skulls off at my daughter’s place today. Including the ferry it will be four or five hours round trip and cost me $35 or so for the ferry and gas. I love my kids! (I can also order food Chinese food for dinner while I’m in Seattle.)

We stayed on Kezar Lake, about 60 miles north of Portland maybe? I remember my dad saying how freezing temperatures were the norm up there in May. But this was in the sixties and seventies, before the warming spike.
A portion of Maine in Google Earth, zoomed out to show the relative positions of Kezar Lake (where we stayed) and Portland to the south. We could see Mt. Washington (just over the state line in New Hampshire) from various high points in the vicinity of Lovell, Maine.

There were several blowup animals, people singing. One guy, easily 80 years old said “We protested Nixon back in the day but this idiot (Trump) is worse.”
A group dressed up as the Handmaid’s Tail protested Epstein. They all stood on the crosswalk over the highway and held up signs spelling RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES. A couple blow up protesters waiting for the light to change. One is a rainbow unicorn and the other is a guy riding a tiny blowup horse. Shot of the crowd. One guy has a huge flag that says FUCK TRUMP. Me and Bennie, a selfie. We were not arrested.
