At this rate I'm going to keep using it long enough for them to realise that I'm probably their most talented developer now and then tell them they can remove my seat as I don't need it.

Even for boilerplate it's just too slow and I'm not some fancy VIM user. I've just mastered using multi-cursor navigation and some regex replacing in Visual Studio (not code). And when something has a lot of boilerplate I just encapsulate the boilerplate to make it reusable.

I've been trying to use GitHub Copilot (ChatGpt 4.1) because my new job gave it to me and I don't want them to think of me as a luddite. There have been maybe two or three instances where it's been of any help at all and otherwise it's frustrating, stupid and so fucking slow.

Politicians and rich people only condemn violence as "political" when it kills someone rich and famous.

When trans people are targeted for violence by the state or by right wing influencers, when immigrants are racially profiles and put in camps, when protestors are brutalized, that's just normal.

I don't think spite is accurate here, because that would mean that there's some degree of cynicism. But I think that they truly believe it's valuable content so they don't need spite to motivate them to watch it.

I think it's that they don't believe it's slop. They probably have internalised the hype that AI is nearing AGI (it categorically is not) and thus can create something of value.

She campaigned for a segregationist when she was in college. So I think that's just her true colours.

The free market's gonna have to innovate real hard to build manufacturing facilities at scale without access to the components required to build manufacturing facilities at scale.

I thought they were already trying to claim trans people were burning down the Tesla dealerships.
