a snippet from a paper that lists a ton of different sequencing techniques with their abbreviations and it's just ridiculous that our field has so many now. this is the text : ChIP6, LinDA7, iChIP8, ULI-NChIP9, CUT&RUN10, SurfaceChIP–seq11, MOWChIP12, ACT–seq13 and ChIL–seq14. Furthermore, scDrop-ChIP, the first single-cell ChIP–seq technique, was developed in 2015 (ref. 15), but the signals captured by scDrop-ChIP were very sparse, with only ~800 unique reads per cell, hindering its potential applications. Afterward, transposase-based single-cell techniques with improved signal-to-noise ratios were developed, such as CUT&Tag16, CoBATCH17, Paired-seq18, Paired-Tag19, scCUT&Tag20,21, scCUT&Tag-pro22, spatial-CUT&Tag23 and Droplet Paired-Tag24. Moreover, the advent of single-cell multimodal chromatin modification methods has enabled simultaneous profiling of multiple histone modifications in the same cell, such as scMulti-CUT&Tag25, MulTI-Tag26, nano-CUT&Tag (nano-CT)27, NTT–seq28 and uCoTarget29.

a nasty post by the idiot vinay prasad. this is what he said "I have no sympathy for academic researchers and their staff who do shit science and live off NIH grants. I am sorry. Never have. Never will. They do work that cannot be reproduced, just say the same empty slogans that are in vogue. During the pandemic they failed society and lied about the impact of school closure and the viral origins. I can't believe we tax plumbers and bus drivers who do real work to fund this bullshit. It's a welfare program for upper middle class kids. Recently they were saying even a single drink of wine kills you. They should be completely defunded for using low quality science to insert themselves in debates they don't understand, or appreciate. It's not even science. It's propaganda that's government-funded masquerading as science."

Are submissions to bioRxiv scrutinized before posting? All articles are screened on submission for plagiarism, non-scientific content, inappropriate article types, and material that could potentially endanger the health of individual patients or the public. The latter may include, but is not limited to, studies describing dual-use research of concern and works that challenge or could compromise accepted public health measures and advice regarding infectious disease transmission, immunization, and therapy. Some manuscripts may receive extra scrutiny if there are concerns about their content or prior submissions.
