Monday always feels like my busiest day of the week! Given the weather moving in here in Texas and it being the last full week before Thanksgiving, I need a little extra motivation! It’s that old “I’d rather be doing anything else but this” feeling.

Good morning! Be kind. Respond to someone’s frustration with calmness. Sometimes people first need an opportunity to let it out before they can work the root of the problem. Often, it’s not really about you.

Teaching reminds me how little and how much I know at once. The negotiation of knowledge is the thing that I look for in the classroom. It’s humbling and always better with caffeine!

I tend to drink more coffee closer to bedtime than I do wake up time. I think it’s because when I started drinking coffee when I was in high school, it was because my older brother would make some in the evening and we’d watch RoboCop for like the 926th time.
