There's a bit of setup required beyond the basic docker-compose (e.g. if you want to use rclone destinations), but this looks very good.

I'm doing some test backups (not to prod destinations) right now, and it seems to be going well.

My EAS local builder CLI project is working! 🎉

Build server running on Mac Mini, Expo project uploaded via a CLI command from my Mac (but could work from any system). Essentially 'EAS on your own cloud'.

There's still a bunch of things to do, so no ETA on release yet.

Today is 'Mad Friday' in the UK, where people celebrate their last day of work by going out and getting drunk (significantly more than usual).

But I'm a nerd, so my 'Mad Friday' is gonna be spent working on this open source MeetUp alternative.

I started building out my self-hosted EAS builder project. Designed to use the `--local` on a remote server.

Currently, I've got the server-side in a potentially working state (express, multer, zod). Client side won't take too long to build out.

Expecting I'll be able to share more on Friday

Wouldn't it be nice to have all platforms in a single

@chmal.it and myself worked on this prototype to stream your local simulators to the Storybook canvas. Let us know if you're interested in this!

I just published a new package - `npx with-env-config`: www.npmjs.com/package/with...

Designed to simplify configuring your env file for various services for various frameworks and environments (e.g. local, staging, prod) using an interactive CLI.

I caved and decided to order an M4 Pro Mac Mini to act as an Expo build server. 64GB + 1TB, but I've got an 8TB NVME space (don't ask) that's going inside a dock.

My plan is to build a couple of scripts. One which will zip 'userland' code, and upload to the Mac which will trigger the build.

I feel strongly that models hosted on the Ollama website should not include 'cloud' options without also including local options.

I run Ollama specifically because I don't want a cloud service.

Decided on a name for my open MeetUp alternative project, bought the domain. Not as catchy as MeetUp, but names and available domains are always a pain.

Guess it's officially 'side-project' status now.

I took a few weeks away from building out my free open source MeetUp alternative, but decided to start working on it again a little today.

I'm still intending to release it at some point, but I'm also not prepared to get burnt out on it, so slow development whenever I feel I want to.

This weekend, I tried to build an N8N workflow to work with Expo EAS. Ended up extending the docker image to include eas-cli.

Then I realised I won't be able to access platform build tools from within Docker (not without risky docker-escape mechanisms - which absolutely is not an option).

Know what I think would be awesome? @expo.dev nodes for @n8n.io

Triggers:

- On update pushed
- On build created/finished/failed
- On submission
- [... etc.]

Actions:

- Create build (with 'local' option)
- Auth to Expo/EAS CLI
- Push update
- [... etc.]

N8N wins again. Setup a workflow which will automatically block bluesky users which indicate that they're going to start spamming "help my family" gofundme scam posts.

If some legit accounts get caught up in it, I'm sorry, but I have zero patience for scammers.

I hate gatekeeping.

Except when someone emails me with some marketing spiel, and says "If you're not the decision-maker, please forward this to the right person".

No mate, I won't be doing that, because fuck you.
