I guess what we want here is a… Star Wars + serial killer mashup? Without a hero figure, WITH a detective?
I mean… sounds kind of fun, actually.

Yes, it was actually deliberately written that way, iirc.
I think to do “serial killer” you’d have to establish… a whole space base with multiple different locations, families and individuals? Because key to serial killer mysteries is the “how are these victims connected?” question.

Event Horizon, maybe?
Actually I think the problem here is that “serial killer” really requires multiple locations. Space (assuming ship/base) is a confined location, so by necessity it has to be more of an “isolated stately home killings” kind of format.

Colouring apps are a bit of a minefield because so many of them charge subscriptions to access 90% of their content, which is a bit of a nightmare with children. This seems to be the work of one artist, so they own the copyright and can charge a one-off fee.

This! They are recasting Bond, no? So what does it matter. You just start again wherever you like with a new guy. Five minutes in everyone will be like, "okay, this is 007 now" and we're golden. I shall resist the pun.

There’s only one trick, and it’s always the same trick.

Imagine, in the 80s we thought robots would become super intelligent and destroy civilisation, and it turns out in fact we're going to be destroyed by robots giving people idiotic advice.
