Phasing out wood burning stoves, would really help.

Modern stoves are not low emission.

So we should also be reducing and eliminating the mercury emissions from Wood burning Power Stations, as they produce about the same amount that crematoria does?

Explore the NAEI data in this interactive chart.

It really shows how ALL wood burning stoves are very polluting.

You can download the line chart, and the data.

Here's a line chart showing Benzo[a]pyrene is higher from Ecodesign stoves using Ready To Burn wood, compared to Power Stations, which provide over 20 times the energy.

Wood burning need to be phase out.

Have a look at my NAEI multi-group pollutant viewer.
Combines sources and activities into groups, so it's easier to compare sources of pollutants.

Ecodesign/Ready To Burn doesn't reduce pollution either, so don't believe they are low emission.

Power Stations generate at least 20 times more energy than Ecodesign burning RtB wood.

Yet, the emissions are nearly the same.

Have a look at the NAEI data that DEFRA use.
I've combined the data to make more meaningful groups so it's easier to compare on a line chart.

GSBI?

It can't have the U if it's not everyone. 🙂

Yes, that's a big shame.
Hopefully the cost will come down, as technology improves.
Still better than no test.

This article overstates some claims.
The UK CCC and IPCC do not class wood burning as carbon neutral.
In terms of overall resilience, especially for keeping critical home systems running, a home battery system provides far greater security and practicality.
