It is Victorian, built between 1870 and 1876. William Burges the architect is one of the foremost architects of his day and this church which was commissioned as a memorial for the 23 year old son of Lady Mary Vyner of Newby Hall is a beautiful place with some of the finest Victorian stained glass.
