Philosophy, musicology, camp, surrealism, social justice, musicals, sex education, existentialism - it's all the same, really. Just varied amounts of glitter and lube.

In addition, or in reaction, to all that’s going on in the world, my mind keeps thinking of more projects and my body has less and less energy.

The irony is not lost on me that I’m wearing ‘protection’ to watch a musical about vagina dentata. #teeth #splashzone

I have a question for you. Is there such a thing as surrealist music? Creation-wise, yes, but in the experience of listening? I’m not so sure.

Hot Take: the musical Wicked is just Glinda's POV of the events. They are affected by glamour magic and the glamour of musical theater.

The Wicked books are 'objective' and also darker, more about politics and power, and more about social activism and fighting oppression.

Y'all need to read Wicked and its sequels by Gregory Maguire. They're brilliant and also required reading if you're gay.

I think I am approaching the point where "too many changes" becomes "wash over me with change" - which, right now, they aren't bad changes and it isn't a bad thing to go with the flow.

Except, ya know, fascism.

I really enjoyed “Here We Are” - the show Sondheim was working on when he died. Surrealism and existentialism really do it for me.
