Co-operatives empower people — and students need to know about them
Universities need to move away from competing over rankings, and instead focus on building a collaborative educational system that puts collective well-being first.

Grumpy opinion:
Too many young development economists are working on behavioral econ questions that are unimportant for development. The topics are amenable to small experiments that can nail mechanisms and demonstrate smarts via a clever design. The profession over-rewards those attributes.

We have the tools to prevent sickness. The real denial is ignoring that high quality masks and vaccines reduce infections. This isn’t hard.

How about we shift from centre-right dweebs dishonestly trying to reframe our intentions and towards actually being honest with people about how renewable energy only makes your bills cheaper, cuts air pollution and cuts greenhouse gases if politicians actually directly tackle corporate power

RIP Jane Goodall. As someone who learned about her work in elementary school, it was pretty cool as an adult to see her in her 80s on stage at the Global Climate Action Summit in 2018, talking about the advantages of eating more plants/less meat for animals, our health, nature, and the climate. 💚

ER doc here! This is a lie. Wait times are up because the American healthcare system is an unsustainable business model and a for-profit national healthcare system just doesn’t work. These problems will continue to get worse until we change that system. It literally has nothing to do with immigrants
Vance: "If you're an American citizen & you've been to the hospital in the last few years, you've probably noticed wait times are especially large & very often somebody who's there in the ER is an illegal alien. Why do those people get healthcare benefits at hospitals paid for by American citizens?"

@sarahgc.bsky.social interviewed her a few years back, and every word is still relevant today.
