First book finished in 2025. Such a thoughtful, interesting (and funny!) book about different death rituals and how far-removed the U.S. is from death practices. It made me think a lot about what I want my burial to look like. Plus, I cried so you know it was good! #death

I was reading Turn of the Screw after seeing your post & there was a line about #prologues I had to share: “It appeared that the narrative he had promised to read us really required for a proper intelligence a few words of prologue.” Very Henry James, and not totally relevant to your post, but . . .

Overall, a good documentary. Left me nostalgic for my younger years, but not too nostalgic… those were riddled with lots of intense feelings! I did get to see Elliott on my birthday in 2000 in Tempe. Hazy memory, but glad I got to go. #elliottsmith #documentary #hollywoodtheater
