WHAT?!?! This is one of the best movies of all time.

They did Chain Reaction dirty too?!?! How are you going to give Keanu Reeves AND Morgan Freeman 18%

Shameful behavior.

Portland Pride Festival was a lot of fun. Found a new favorite artist. Could have stood in their booth all day staring at their art. Snagged the one below and I can't wait to frame and hang it.

Check 'em out! www.sanmiguelart.site/selectedworks

I have started reading (shout out to Chirp's audiobooks!) "Abundance" by Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson. It starts with the premise that we have enough resources to meet everyone's basic needs and then dives into the policy choices that prevent it. Thoroughly enjoying it!

The best part about being in a book group is that I get to read books I wouldn't pick up on my own.

P.S. yay for libraries and holds!

Today's search for joy landed me a lovely walk, iced coffee, a ridiculous cat, and an ace lesbians manga. Win.

The first book about limits that left me feeling empowered to make meaningful changes - The Dance of Anger helped me to see anger as a data point that indicated I needed to 1) do something different and 2) treat others like adults who were capable of learning how to manage their emotions.

Well WA doesn't deserve such a fabulous creature then! And you should definitely move to OR :-D
9YO approves of Tesla moving here too so that your cat and our cat can be mustache buddies.

I took it twice because why not, and both answers are very accurate depends on if the adhd or the autism is winning at the moment. 😅

Staring out the window at trees while drinking a cuppa coffee while the cat sleeps next to me is a pretty great way to start the day.

I've only read book 1, but it had me laughing out loud repeatedly - an excellent introduction to gag/comedic manga, if you don't have some knowledge of yakuza and k-pop culture read the author's notes at the end first.

This past year when I was too overwhelmed to read novels, I learned mangas are an amazing way to keep reading! The graphics are less busy and intense than U.S. comics (which exhaust my eyes) and the huge variety of story lines makes finding something you like fairly easy. This one was a favorite!

It's amazing how much reading one can get done when kids are away for their school break!

We didn't celebrate Christmas when I was growing up, but we did watch Monday night football, so I'm celebrating correctly :-D
